  Whats the strangest watchtower/awake article ever

  whats the strangest watchtower/awake or other publication article you,ve ever seen?.

  i know theres some very strange old articles , but a few years ago there was one in the awake if i remmember right which had a picture of two brothers holding hands on the ministrty.. one was african the other white.. apparently it was common for men to hold hands in this country and was perectly normal for hetrosexual men to do.. a brother who was a missionary recounted how he was shocked when out with a local brother for the first time on the ministry and the brother took his hand in his.. a lot of people though the article was very odd and didn't like it.

  I remember there was an article that came out about music videos and the harms they can cause. It was from 1983 or 1984. Anyway, it was merely done, in my humble opinion, as a vehicle for Michael Jackson to apologize for the 'Thriller' video. I'm going off of memory here, but it went something like this: Michael Jackson, who made the 'Thriller' video, which had an occult theme, had this to say, "I never meant for the video to offend people. I would never make a video like that again..." Something to that effect. You can read that article if you have the WT CD-ROM. Type in 'Michael Jackson' in the Search field. You'll see what I mean.

  Awake! 1/8/02 issue

  i picked up the 1/8/02 issue of the awake!

  in the waiting area while my car was being serviced yesterday.

  when i see harmful literature in places like that, i follow the society's instructions and i hurl them in the trash.

  If you're okay with it and the other corresponder is okay with it, then you shouldn't feel guilty or ashamed.
  However, ask yourself: How will the other persons OTHER person feel if they found out about it? Would they be happy, sad, or mad?
  Also, more than likely, if your friend got caught by his other half, he would probably drop you faster than a bucket of chicken at Oprah's!

  If it offend's your spouse, then it's cheating.
  If you can go to your spouse and say, "Honey, I'm having a cyber sex
  relationship. Are you okay
  with this?",
  and your spouse says, "Yes", then I suppose it's not cheating.

  Believe you me, they will try you for apostasy if you bring this issue up and raise questions about it. Of course, I would like to know if anyone currently active has brought this issue to their elder's attention. If so, what were the results?

  You posted your situation about being reproved over the UN thing. What area are you from? Why would you think you know me? Just curious. I have not provided a name, a location, an age, a sex (okay...the "Mister" part gives that away!), a congregation, or anything. If you think you know who I am based on what little information I have provided, then you may very well be a prophet yourself.

  the opening page on here says "everyone is welcome" so hope you do not have to be a non-believer to be on here.. i am hoping to hear from others in same situation as me to try and exchange encouragement.. .

  I am still active. However, I have become disenchanted. I won't tell you why because you seek encouragement to go back, not discouragement. Will my view change? Perhaps, but I need some answers first. Right now, I am scrutinizing everything. I would encourage you to do the same. The folks here are sincere and genuine, but you will probably not get support from most them to go back. I would encourage you to peruse the posts, do a lot of research, and then follow your brain...not your heart.
